This March, Cho-Liang Lin performs in two concerts presented by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at SUNY Purchase (March 14) and Lincoln Center (March 15).
Titled "Milestones," this program features important landmarks in the chamber music repertoire. The program begins with the 20th century's first string trio, Ernst von Dohnányi's Serenade for Violin, Viola, and Cello, followed by Béla Bartók's Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion, an astonishing synthesis of percussion and keyboards. The evening closes with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's beloved Sextet for Two Violins, Two Violas, and Two Cellos.
The program also features Alessio Bax (piano), Lucille Chung (piano), Erin Keefe (violin), Hsin-Yun Huang (viola), Paul Neubauer (viola), Dimitri Atapine (cello), Colin Carr (cello), Ayano Kataoka (percussion), and Ian David Rosenbaum (percussion).
