On August 23, Cho-Liang Lin returns to La Jolla Music Society for Concerto Grosso, the final concert of SummerFest 2019.
Celebrating the concerto grosso, the evening includes works by Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi and more. Lin performs Bach’s Concerto in D for Three Violins and Andrew Norman’s Gran Turismo. Other soloists included James Ehnes (violin), Augustin Hadelich (violin), Nicholas McGegan (harpsichord), Andrew Wan (violin), Jun Iwasaki (violin), Tatjana Roos (violin), Paul Aguilar (violin), Rachel Stenzel (violin), Jonathan Biss (piano), Inon Barnatan (piano), Clive Greensmith (cello), Edward Arron (cello), and Hannah Moses (cello).
Conductor and harpsichordist Nicholas McGegan leads the SummerFest Chamber Orchestra as great masterworks pair with modern visions of the form, offering an exploration of the deep connection of music across centuries.
