The 11th Annual Beare's Premiere Music Festival (formerly known as the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival) opens on January 8 with "The Complete Brandenburg Concertos." Rarely performed as a complete set, the concert features over 25 acclaimed musicians performing all six of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos.
Cho-Liang Lin serves as the festival's Artistic Director and will be performing in four concerts throughout the festival. Lin is joined by several esteemed artists including the Borromeo String Quartet, Emily Beynon, Andrew Simon, Evelyn Chang, Gordon Hunt and many more.
Performances continue with "When Breath Becomes Sound" (January 10), "The Martial Arts Trilogy" (January 11), "Sunday Afternoon Chamber Music" (January 12), “Beethoven & Mustonen” (January 14), and “Festival Finale” (January 16). The festival also includes several outreach events, such as tango classes, lectures, open rehearsals, and free community concerts.
