Cho-Liang Lin joins the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Leonard Slatkin on January 14 to perform Lalo Schifrin’s Tangos Concertantes. The program, which also includes Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn, Smetana’s Overture to The Bartered Bride, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5 “Reformation” will be broadcast live on dso.org/live.
Lin, a frequent interpreter of the Argentine composer's works, can also be heard in a recording of Schifrin's Letters from Argentina.
Following his concert with the DSO, Lin resumes his post as the artistic director of the Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival, which opens on January 19 and runs through January 25. Explore the festival programs.
